UBC Mathematics PhD candidates Danny Ofek and Tim Tian have been awarded the 2025 Graduate Research Award, recognizing their outstanding research contributions during their doctoral studies at UBC.

This prestigious award honours exceptional scholarship and includes an invitation to present their work in the Department Colloquium, Applied Mathematics Colloquium, or an equivalent venue. Recipients also receive a commemorative certificate, presented at the Department’s graduation reception, along with a monetary award.
