Izabella Laba

Faculty

Izabella Laba obtained a PhD in Mathematics from the University of Toronto, was an E.R. Hedrick Assistant Professor at the University of California, Los Angeles, and an Assistant Professor as Princeton University. She is currently a Full Professor at UBC Mathematics.

Her research interests include harmonic analysis, geometric measure theory, and additive combinatorics.

She has won the Coxeter-James and Krieger-Nelson prizes of the Canadian Mathematical Society. She is a Fields Institute Fellow and a Fellow of the American Mathematical Society. She was an invited section speaker at the International Congress of Mathematicians in Seoul, 2014.
