Eric Cytrynbaum obtained a PhD in Mathematics from the University of Utah (2001) and was a Postdoctoral Fellow at the University of California, Davis (2002-2004), after spending a term at the Isaac Newton Institute for Mathematical Sciences at the University of Cambridge. He has been at UBC since 2004 and is currently an Associate Professor in the Department of Mathematics.

His research interests include mathematical and computational modelling of cell and developmental biology and physiology.
